A Message From At-Large Candidate Anne-Marie Johnson

Once again I am asking for your vote. My goal is to continue the work I set out to do when I was first elected to the SLNC board in 2012 and then re-elected in 2014. The last two years on the board has been a tough one. Disruption, disrespect, contempt and confusion plague the board, resulting in very few items on the agendas being dealt with in a timely fashion. The council was only able to complete 2 agendas out of 28, creating a backlog items, stakeholder frustration and board member malaise. Many thought I’d resign my seat. In fact, some bet on it. But I’ve never been a quitter.

Fortunately there was light at the end of that tunnel. Former enemies put aside their political hatchets and personal agendas to try to work together to move things forward, placing the needs of the constituents ahead of any personal needs.

Silver Lake United, a group of 21 diverse people with one shared philosophy; putting the needs of Silver Lake first. Our goal is to bring respect, functionality, and productivity back to the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, which in turn will result in timely service to our neighborhood. I’m asking that you support this entire entire team when you vote in our upcoming election. Each voter can vote for 2 of their regional representatives and all 7 At-Large reps. For your convenience, I have included a voter guide on this site.

Sincerely,  Anne-Marie Johnson
