Since my April 2014 re-election, I missed only 2 out of 28 board meetings held from May 2014 to May 2016. I did not and will not abstain from any vote brought to the board.

Events: Co-Organized and Co-Moderated the Rowena Road Diet Town Hall Meeting. Co-Organized and Co-Moderated the Homelessness In Silver Lake Town Hall Meeting.

 

September 2015: 8.7. MOTION (Anne-Marie Johnson): Move that the SLNC’s Governing Board hold a special meeting regarding the Mobility Plan 2035. PASSED

 

October 2015: 9.1. MOTION (Johnson): The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council withholds its position on the current status of the Rowena Ave. Road Diet until Councilman David Ryu and staff, and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, provide to SLNC and the public, the results of a current and thorough traffic report/analysis, including an environmental report, and LADOT/CD4 recommended solutions/alternatives to the myriad community concerns regarding the road diet,( including but not limited to, cut-through traffic on residential streets) during a special meeting of the SLNC, chaired by the SLNC co-chairs and held at Ivanhoe Elementary School. PASSED

 

November 2015: 9.3. MOTION (Johnson): Moves to reconsider motion: 5.4 Original Motion: Discuss having all NPG recipients submit receipts to the SLNC after the completion of their projects. PASSED

9.6. MOTION (Johnson & Wingler): The makers of the motion move that the SLNC send a letter to CD13 and CD4 field representatives, requesting an immediate but one time and final disposal service of all trash from the “art” trash cans and turn them into “seed bomb” planters. PASSED

 

December 2015: 7.2. MOTION (Governmental Affairs): The Governmental Affairs Committee moves that the SLNC send the attached letter to Councilmen O’Farrell and Ryu, requesting they initiate a resolution asking the California State Legislature reform the Ellis Act. PASSED

 

9.2. MOTION (Governmental Affairs): Move that the Governmental Affairs Committee spend up to $100.00 (dollars) to hold the Governmental Affairs Homeless in Silver Lake Town Hall Meeting. (Cost: Up to $100.00) PASSED

 

9.3. MOTION (Governmental Affairs): Move that the Governmental Affairs Committee adopt the same membership requirements as the SLNC Urban Affairs and Preservation Advisory Committee. PASSED

 

January 2016: (Johnson/Courshon)The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council immediately send a letter to the General Manager of The Department Of Water And Power, to emphasize the urgent need for additional street lighting installed on DWP power poles on/around Rendall Place. PASSED

 

8.1. MOTION (Urban Design and Preservation): The Silver Lake Urban Design and Preservation Advisory Committee moves that the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council (SLNC) send a letter advising that Tenants of the Trees is in violation of its ABC license. The letter would be sent to: City Council District 4, the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety, the City of Los Angeles Department of City Planning, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), he Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), Neighborhood Prosecutor Gabrielle Taylor, and the California Department of Alcohol Beverage Control. PASSED

 

March 2016:  8.6. MOTION (Courshon/Johnson): The makers of the motion move that The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council immediately send a letter to the General Manager of the Department of Water and Power to emphasize the urgent need for additional street lighting installed on DWP power poles in the alleyway along/behind 937 N Benton Way and the alleyway located behind 1237 Sanborn Ave. PASSED

MOTION (Johnson/Courshon): The makers of the motion move that The Silver Lake Neighborhood Council immediately send a letter to Outfront Media regarding the illegal pruning and destruction of trees in multiple locations in Silver Lake by Outfront Media. The letter should also request a location list of all Outfront Media billboards within the boundaries of Silver Lake. PASSED
